There’s a new “prank” going around that’s shutting down people’s phones. You may come across the website in a link, a text message or a post on social media. You should avoid it at all costs. The website will read CrashSafari.com.
If you see it, DO NOT CLICK ON IT! Make sure your friends also know about this link and it’s dangers. Epochtimes.com says,
Visiting the website CrashSafari.com will, well, crash your Safari Browser, along with a host of other browsers.
The website uses a script that keeps loading characters into your browser’s address bar until it overloads the app’s memory, causing it to crash.
The website works both for the desktop and mobile browsers, but on iPhones, it also causes the device to reset.
This will cause you to lose all your photos, videos and anything else you have saved on your phone. Basically, the website will run processes that seize all of your phone’s memory and ultimately causes your phone to crash.
